Tennis is Top Heavy...
Let’s skip the small talk,
You see the rolex watches and investors in the stands, but what about the players? Are these guys building/investing off the court, or are they all banking on winning the U.S. Open next month?
Well, with the help of former ATP Tour tennis professional, Tennis Channel Broadcaster, and 2010 Division 1 singles National Champion Bradley Klahn, we have answers…
Welcome🫡, our podcast features athletes who are building a business…
But we also share data of athletes building/investing in different categories with the help of the Athletes & Assets™ community.
In short, we've learned a ton and seen a professional shift in athlete behavior outside of their sport. Cool stuff.
Covering the ATP Top 100…
Please note:
- The majority of this information is comprised of public sources. Bradley helped as well.
- The players on the map as of 6/15 are ranked in the top 100 and we included the Big 4 (Djokovic, Nadal, Federer, Murray).
- Due to privacy barriers we have also omitted the following:
1. Stock Portfolios
2. General Endorsements
3. Angel Investments
Tennis is top heavy, and you shouldn’t be surprised…
Tennis is an eat what you kill sport. The top players make the majority of the riches that come with being a grand slam winner, I mean only one guy can win a singles tournament at a time. If you drop out of the top 100, endorsements suffer.
This context sets the stage for why top players such as Alcaraz, Djokovic, Nadal, Federer, Murray have expansive business portfolios and everyone else is— well, eh. Can't get paid in riches if you don’t win in this sport.
Hear Bradly chat about the wealth disparity here.
A couple shoutouts…
Shoutout to my guy Chris Eubanks for being the Draymond Green of Tennis; broadcasting and playing at the same time. Our full episode can be found here!! Chris if you’re reading this (you better lol), best of luck in the Olympics 🇺🇸
Stan Wawrinka has produced a couple of different movies, and even has an IMBD profile amongst other ventures. The definition of a Swiss Army Knife🇨🇭 😉
If you’re an ATP Player or representative reading this, please reach out if we have missed something!
